As per the Data Security Confidence Index from Gemalto, around 65% of the companies agreed they cannot categorize or analyze their stored data. Also, 89% of the businesses know that they\u2019d have a competitive edge if they could analyze and categorize data. In another study conducted it was found that 90% of the data across the globe was created within the previous two years. In 2018, the amount of information available globally totaled 33 zettabytes, and projections show an increase to 133 zettabytes by the year 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data Science, also referred to as the \u201coil of the 21st century,\u201d carries the importance of digital data in the field. It combines mathematics and statistics, scientific methods, advanced analytics, specialized programming, and artificial intelligence (AI). This multidisciplinary approach extracts valuable insights from the enormous and ever-increasing volumes of collected data. It presents results and benefits research, businesses, and everyday life by revealing patterns to draw well-informed decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data Science was already having a big moment before the pandemic. The interest peaked further when it took centre stage in battling the spread of COVID-19.
